Agua Caliente Hill Hike April 2017

Our first hike of spring on the far east side of Tucson. Windy day but temperatures were in the mid 60s.

Catalina State Park Hike MLK Jr Day 2017

The State of Arizona didn’t charge for state park entry on MLK Jr Day so we spent the afternoon crossing very, very cold washes in our bare feet. The views were incredible.

If you haven’t visited Catalina State Park in a while, you may want to revisit!

Cave Creek Canyon (Chiricahua National Monument) September 2016

This is our second camping trip to the Chiricahua Mountains in southeast Arizona. Our first was in September 2014 and we had wanted to go again in 2015 but chose to stay closer to home.

The photos below were taken from my smartphone at two separate locations; our Stewart Campground site and the John Hands Campground which is no longer a developed campground.

We stayed at theĀ Stewart Campground, like we did in 2014 but may be considering a stay at the Sunny Flat Campground on our next visit.

Chiricahua-Mountains

One of many (more than a dozen) deer we came close to.

Already looking forward to next season!

Riggs Flat Lake (Mt Graham) July 2016

Our camping trip to Riggs Flat Lake on Mt Graham (near Safford, AZ) was one of the best trips we’ve had together.

Camino de Oeste Hike May 2016

This is a wonderful hike. Not too difficult to take on as the temperatures continue to rise.
